Leonardo (formerly known as Finmeccanica) is a company that provides aerospace, defense, and security solutions to governments, institutions, and citizens. It operates through five divisions: Aerostructures, Aircraft, Defence Electronics & Security, Helicopters, and Space. The Aerostructures division specializes in the production and assembly of major structural composite and metallic components for commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, and unmanned aircraft. The Aircraft division offers complex operating scenarios for defense, surveillance and training, tactical transport, and humanitarian assistance. The Defence Electronics & Security division provides command, control, communication, computers, intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, reconnaissance sensors and systems, and self-protection equipment. The Helicopters division engaged in technical assistance and training services, remotely piloted aircraft, and tiltrotors. The Space division focuses on the manufacture of space and ground systems and launch systems as well as delivers a range of services including satellite operations, communication, geoinformation, navigation, etc.
