Welspun Renewables is the pioneering organization to utilize the power of the sun and wind. In line with Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi’s 175 GW renewable vision, we are committed to establishing 11001 MW of renewable capacities across the country. Towards this goal, in next few years we will be setting up 5 GW capacities, and of this 1 GW will be commissioned well within 2015-16. Welspun Renewables has developed some of the world’s largest and highly efficient grid-connected solar and wind power plants. We take pride in our team’s ability to work relentlessly on projects in a time-bound and cost-effective manner. With a 545 MW (399 MW solar and 146 MW wind) capacity, we hold one of the largest renewable energy portfolios in India. Towards this goal, we will be setting up 5 GW capacities in the next few years, and of this 1 GW will be commissioned well within this financial year. Through our projects we have mitigated over 1.1 million tons of carbon emission. Global institutions like General Electric Financial Services and Asian Development Bank have chosen to invest in us. Our recent achievements herald the beginning of our projects springing up across India. Located in high solar irradiation and wind velocity sites, our power plants are spread across Gujarat, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Punjab, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Our 151 MW (DC) Neemuch solar power plant is one of the world’s largest and was developed eight months ahead of schedule. Our 55 MW (DC) Phalodi solar capacity is one of India’s largest and is counted among the highest generating plants in the country. The recently commissioned 19 MW (DC) Chitradurga plant is Karnataka’s largest solar project.
